Cancellation policy
This Purchase Options Cancellation Policy applies to recurring subscription purchases from Murder Mittens Survivors Club, including the MMSC Archive Subscription Box and any other product sold with a recurring purchase option.
By purchasing a subscription, you agree to future recurring charges according to the billing frequency, price, and subscription details shown at checkout.
Nothing in this policy removes, limits, or replaces any mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.
Subscription Billing
Your subscription will renew automatically according to the billing schedule shown at checkout.
You are responsible for keeping your payment method, billing details, and delivery address up to date before each renewal.
If a payment fails, we may retry the payment, pause the subscription, skip the affected box, or cancel the subscription.
Cancellation Before the Next Box
To stop your next scheduled MMSC subscription box, you must cancel at least 21 calendar days before the scheduled dispatch date.
This 21-day cancellation cut-off allows us to order printed materials, reserve stock, prepare packaging, and produce limited-run archive items for the next issue.
If you cancel before the 21-day cut-off, your cancellation will apply to the next scheduled box and all future subscription boxes.
If payment has already been taken for a box that has not passed its 21-day cut-off, we will refund that payment unless another lawful exception applies.
Cancellation After the 21-Day Cut-Off
If you cancel less than 21 calendar days before the scheduled dispatch date, the next box may already be in final preparation.
In that case, your cancellation will normally apply after that box has been dispatched.
This means:
- the locked box may still be sent;
- any payment already taken for that locked box may not be refunded purely because you cancelled after the cut-off;
- your subscription will be cancelled for future boxes after the locked box;
- no further recurring payments will be taken after the cancellation has taken effect.
This does not affect any statutory cancellation, withdrawal, return, refund, faulty-goods, or legal guarantee rights you may have.
Where the law gives you a cancellation or withdrawal right that cannot be shortened by this policy, that legal right will apply.
Where the law allows MMSC to apply a 21-day operational cancellation cut-off for the next scheduled subscription box, we will apply that cut-off.
Statutory Cancellation and Returns
If you are buying as a consumer in the United Kingdom, European Union, or another region with mandatory consumer rights, you may have legal cancellation, withdrawal, return, refund, faulty-goods, or legal guarantee rights.
For eligible physical goods bought online, these rights may apply even if the subscription itself has been cancelled after the 21-day cut-off.
Returns and refunds are handled in line with our Returns & Refunds Policy and any mandatory consumer law that applies where you live.
How to Cancel
You can cancel your subscription using the subscription management tools provided through your customer account, checkout link, or subscription management link where available.
You can also contact us at:
Email: mudermittenssurvivorsclub@gmail.com
Please include:
- your name;
- the email address used for the subscription;
- your order number, if available;
- a clear statement that you want to cancel your subscription.
You do not need to give a reason to cancel.
We will confirm cancellation by email.
Changes, Skips, Pauses and Address Updates
Where subscription changes, skips, pauses, or address updates are available, they must be completed at least 21 calendar days before the scheduled dispatch date to guarantee they apply to the next box.
Changes made after the 21-day cut-off may only apply to future boxes.
If you update your address after the cut-off, we will try to apply the change, but we cannot guarantee this if the box has already entered preparation, packing, labelling, or dispatch.
Faulty, Damaged, Incorrect or Missing Items
If your subscription box arrives faulty, damaged, incorrect, incomplete, or not as described, contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
Please include your order number, a description of the issue, and photographs of the item and packaging where helpful.
Where a fault or fulfilment issue is accepted, we will provide the remedy required by applicable law. This may include replacement, repair, missing item dispatch, partial refund, full refund, or another appropriate remedy.
Cancelling your subscription does not remove your rights in relation to faulty, damaged, incorrect, incomplete, or misdescribed goods.
Dispatch Date Changes
Scheduled dispatch dates may occasionally change because of supplier delays, production issues, postal disruption, stock shortages, quality control, illness, weather, or other events outside our reasonable control.
If a dispatch date changes significantly, we will aim to notify affected subscribers.
Where required by law, we will provide the cancellation, refund, or remedy that applies.
No Minimum Term Unless Stated
Unless the product page clearly states otherwise, MMSC subscriptions do not have a minimum term.
You can cancel future boxes in line with this policy.
If we offer prepaid subscriptions, founding member plans, fixed-term subscriptions, or minimum-term subscriptions, the product page will explain those additional terms before you subscribe.
Abuse, Fraud and Improper Use
We aim to handle cancellations fairly.
We may investigate, pause, restrict, or refuse non-statutory goodwill requests where we reasonably believe there is fraud, payment misuse, chargeback abuse, misleading information, repeated improper claims, or bad-faith behaviour.
We will not use this section to deny a valid statutory cancellation, withdrawal, refund, faulty-goods remedy, legal guarantee claim, or other mandatory consumer right.
Summary
To stop the next MMSC subscription box, cancel at least 21 calendar days before the scheduled dispatch date.
Cancellations after that point will normally stop future boxes after the locked box.
Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
No renewal should be unexpected.
